The Tennis Club at Berry Creek, set amidst The Reserve at Berry Creek, is surrounded by native oaks and has ten lighted Plexipave® all-weather tennis courts. A full snack bar is open year-round, making it a great place to unwind and have a seltzer after your match. The Tennis Shop carries a wide variety of apparel, racquets and accessories. In addition to tennis, Berry Creek has a fully equipped fitness studio with state of the art cardiovascular and Cybex strength equipment. The Junior Olympic-style pool is a popular place to cool off and relax in the summer months.

The Club at Berry Creek is home to a diverse group of teaching professionals who are known for their love and passion for growing the game. Each professional is certified by one of the leading coaching associations in the the world.

Rick Wood
Director of Tennis
Rick, along with his wife Stephanie and children, made the move from Oregon in August 2022. His daughter, Sydney, is now a Freshman at Texas Tech in Lubbock, and his son Madden is a Freshman at Georgetown High.
Rick, first hired as a contracted teaching professional in August of 2022, quickly established a strong clientele with his no-nonsense, up-tempo teaching style and have fun mentality, was honed from over a decade of coaching DIII. His coaching philosophy revolves around bringing out the best in his players, fostering continuous improvement.
Prior to joining Berry Creek, Rick served as the Director of Men’s and Women’s tennis at Willamette University (DIII) in Salem, Oregon, from 2011 to 2021. Preceding that, he held the position of Director of Tennis at Illahe Hills CC (2001-11) in Salem, Oregon. Drawing parallels between Illahe and Berry Creek, Rick emphasizes their shared characteristics as family-oriented, fun, multi-event clubs. Rick's diverse teaching experience includes roles at Salem Tennis and Swim Club, Sunriver Resorts (Bend, Oregon), Army/Navy CC (Arlington, VA), Country Club of Fairfax (Fairfax, VA), and even as a personal travel coach in Hiroshima and Osaka, Japan. Reflecting on his extensive travels, Rick expresses gratitude for the friendships and connections forged worldwide.
On the court, Rick boasts a playing career featuring two state high school tournaments (Rd 16: Oregon), four NAIA national tournaments (Overland Park, Kansas) with Willamette University, and NAIA singles and doubles conference championships. Additionally, he has participated in five USTA National tournaments (5.0 men’s and 8.0 mixed).
Thrilled to assume the Director position at Berry Creek in January of 2023, Rick expresses excitement in this last year of growth, the support of the new ownership and the direction the club is heading.

Reagan Willman
Assistant Tennis Pro
Reagan Willman is a 1993 graduate of Menard High School where he excelled in tennis and football. After graduating high school, he went to the University of Texas at Austin where he earned a letter in football and obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology in 1997. Reagan eventually earned his master's degree in education from Texas State University in 2005.
Reagan began his high-school tennis coaching career at Florence High School in 2001, from 2001-2010, Florence achieved more success than ever before with several state championships and state qualifiers.
After a 4-year stint as a coach at a private club, Reagan established Georgetown Tennis Academy (GTA) in 2014, and returned to public-school coaching, as the head coach at Forbes Middle School in Georgetown in the same year. Both GTA and Forbes have achieved great success with multiple team championships in their respective divisions.
Reagan was named the 2016 Capital Area Tennis Association 10 and under "Coach of the Year". In 2019, GTA was named the United States Tennis Association, top junior program in the state of Texas. In 2022, Reagan earned the title of Middle School Coach of the Year. In 2023, Reagan's family was recognized as "Family of the Year."
Reagan has been married to Sarah Willman, math teacher at Georgetown High School since 2008. His daughter, Amelia plays on the tennis team at GHS, and his son Andrew is a student at Forbes Middle School in Georgetown.

Clinics
Please check out our weekly schedule of events, which can be found under the 'Tennis Schedule and Events' tab. The schedule changes each season. Be sure to check back for updated events.
Register for one of our "game changing" clinics by visiting our online portal system at 10sportal.net. All of our clinics are taught by certified teaching professionals and are a great way to exercise, have a blast, make new friends, and improve your game.
Junior Tennis Program 2025
Berry Creek welcomes all members, member guests and Berry Creek residents to participate in our fall junior program. Classes begin the week of September 8th and finish the week of October 27th. (8 Weeks) Classes are one day a week or two days and discounts for 2nd children.
Berry Creek Junior Tennis Classes are designed to give Juniors, at all levels, a pathway to learning tennis.
From the beginner or for the plug-in and play, our juniors will have opportunities to compete, improve their skills and learn that tennis is a lifetime sport. The Elite and H.S classes include a session Jr. membership which allows players to use courts for free play during non-peak hours and weekends.
